Linda Myer
Education Director

school@agudasma.org

CAA is excited to welcome Cantor Linda as its Education Director beginning in July 2020. Cantor Linda brings a strong teaching background (including SPED certification), a collaborative approach to leadership, the ability to connect with people of all ages, warmth, humor, creativity, and chutzpah. Because the Jewish community is so interconnected, some of you may remember that she served as CAA's high holiday cantor in 2014, so we're excited to welcome her back! In addition to serving as Education Director, Cantor Linda will be teaching Hebrew to the Upper School students on Wednesday afternoons.

Prior to joining CAA, she served as the Educational Director/Cantorial Soloist at Temple Beth Torah in Holliston where she managed daily operations, long-range planning, and various programs of the synagogue's Religious School.  She really enjoys teaching Hebrew and Judaics to children and adults.   In 2015, she earned a Certificate in Jewish Sacred Music from Hebrew College in Newton, Massachusetts. She also holds a MA teaching certification.

Anna Shuman
Lower School
Anna taught Gan-Aleph at Congregation Agudas Achim for 6 years.  Last year, she moved up with her students to teach Bet-Gimel. When not at Congregation Agudas Achim, Anna enjoys spending time with her husband, Dan, and her two kids, Rachel and Michael.  The Shumans have been members of Agudas Achim since 2000.

Rachael Lane
Upper School
Rachael has pursued her interest in Jewish education for more than 20 years and has taught various grades in Reconstructionist, Conservative, and Reform settings. This year, she will be teaching Daled-Hey on Sunday mornings. She is fascinated by finding different ways to connect with Jewish identity and with reading and understanding biblical texts from varied viewpoints. Rachael is a big fan of undertaking projects from home renovations to auto repair to crochet to paper craft and drawing. She lives in Medway with her dashing, brilliant husband, her German Shepherd, and Maine coon cat.

AJ is 22 years old, and has been immersed in Jewish culture and Hebrew language for their entire life. They attended a local Jewish day school for 12 years, followed by both an after school program and a semester in Israel through NFTY EIE (now Heller High). Between tutoring for B’nei Mitzvah and teaching Hebrew school at their childhood congregation in Cleveland, Ohio, they have had the privilege of hearing and working with many different unique student perspectives. This is their first year here at Agudas Achim, and they will be teaching Vav-Zayin.
