When services and events need to be cancelled due to inclement weather, the decision will be made at least 1.5 hours before the service or event begins, and the announcement will be recorded on the office voicemail message. On every day except Saturday, we will also send an email to the congregation.
Hebrew School cancellations will be announced by email. The full Hebrew School weather-related-cancellation policy is below:
In case of bad weather, Wednesday school will be cancelled when Attleboro Public Schools have closed for the day.
However, there may be times when Attleboro Schools have opened but weather conditions have worsened during the day and made late day travel unsafe. In those instances the Education Director may decide that the weather conditions make it unsafe to drive to and park at the synagogue and Wednesday school will be cancelled.
On those Wednesdays when Attleboro Schools have opened but late day weather conditions are bad, the decision to close Religious School will be made by 2pm, and the Education Director will send out an email notifying all families of the cancellation.
On Sundays, the decision to cancel school will be made by the Education Director. The decision will be made by 7:30am, and an email will go out notifying all families of the cancellation.
Please check the email address you provided to the Religious School for notices of cancellation.
